TOEF iBT: The Official Study Guide
This is a great book. I suggest to anyone preparing to pass TOEFL to buy this book and you will pass the first time.

Good!
The book offers the same samples as the iBT internet paid exercises. It's a good material for non native speakers.

It is good, but...
The book has been prepared good but the computer's adaptivity is very poor. The CD of the book should be prepared in the context of CDROM. There isnt any format of the examination in the book, no pictures in the listening section and no reading format.... On the other hand, the book has not any full practise test like examination. Software does not record answers!
When taking the practice tests, you cannot save your speaking test answers. So, you're just talking into the air... Also, you can save the writing section only in the practice mode. In the test mode, your essay simply disappears....The Longman has a much better CD-ROM.

Excelent Book
I tried 3 books for TOEFL IBT; this one was the best of all, it have 7 complete tests, and 10 Audio CDs with a good price. and also a section for teaching the technics. I thing it is almost perfect. and it delivered much faster that exepted. Have fun with TOEFL. Good luck for all.

Longmann Course for TOEFL
An excellent book to pass TOEFL. Use the CD and pay attention to all the exercises and you will not have any problem in taking real TOEFL test.

don't buy it
It's a waste of money and time. You can only use the reading section of the book.When you get the book , for example, for listening part you just have questions ,but you don't have the cd for the conversations. To use the other sections you need another audio series which are NOT in the market. Also the audio series you need is NOT mentioned buy the publisher. They give a cd with the book but it doesn't match with the book, it's totally different. I tied to contact with the publisher but they didn't answer my e-mail, they don't seem responsible. As a result, if you don't want to waste your money don't buy this book.

This Book Needs A Warning Label
Although the Longman iBT TOEFL preparation book is generally well done, its main feature is one of the most deceptive sales practices I have ever seen in a textbook.

A good FINAL Review of your knowledge
I found this book benificial for me since it gave me quite good idea on my TOEFL score. It coantains 5 actual tests and 1 extra test that coantain a sealed questtions and ansewr sheet the same way on the paper based test. Excellent for Paper based but only Good for the Computer Based test. Though this prep kit dont give any further explanation on Eng so u should have a good knowledge of english before using this guide, since it only help you know what to expect on the test.

Very reflective of the real test
This book is the best of its kind.The questions are extremely similar to the ones one will see during the actual test.

very good for preparation
I purchased this book because I was sure that Kaplan book was one of the best. Very good content, a lot of examples, good CD makes this book the best one for those who would like to get good score.
The Book is Total Chaos, but you can still learn a lot from the Audio CD.

The book is too complicated when you just want to focus on the exam, it is bad organized, divided into chapters made it difficult to study. Anyway, the CD came along is very useful, at least where the $20 worth on, they have provided around real recording audio for the speaking section, so it is quite useful, it gives you all preview how is the exam gonna be. So, I would give ita 2 stars, bad book, but good CD.

Good price / value
This is also the only book that I used to prepare for TOEFL. Engish is my second language. I got a score of 110 out of 120 even I messed up one listening session as I had to go to bathroom during the test.

BEST TOEFL BOOK PREPARATION EVER!!!
I'VE FOUND THAT THIS BOOK IS GREAT WAY TO DO SELF STUDY FOR TOEFL PREPARATION. IT SEEMS LIKE YOU HAVE YOUR OWN TUTOR AT HOME. THIS BOOK PROVIDES TIPS AND TECHNIQUES WHICH VERY CLEAR FOR THOSE WHOM JUST START.

It's a useful book for preparing TOEFL iBT, But it is unfortunate that the CD didn't have records for part III listening practices.

listening practices
This is a pretty good book, I would say (although, I can't compare it with other ones). The book has 4 sections for each of the testsections. Each section has tiny steps and explains everything. After each step you take a small test to see if you understood everything. I got bored with all the explanations and examples, so I only did the tests and reviewed the sections, where I had problems.
quite good BUT
Listening section does not contain Audio CD, why are not these excersises on the CDROM?! The attached CDROM has less than 300MB and typical cdrom can contain more than 600MB!!!
It definately help!!
I've went through this book and worked on all the practice test on the disk, it really helped me to understand the test format in real test condition and provided concentrated review material in different sections.The only drawback will be the tapes included are too clear, which is really different from the real test (it's a bit muffle in the real test)lucky I went through the free toefl practice test material available on the toefl website on the day I took the test and realise that.Anyway, I got 280 points with the help of the book..really satisfy with the result!It's worth to try. ... Good book
Even I just read part of this book, I already like it. It really tells you from how to write to how to write it professional. It gives me lots benefits to learn and shorten the way I have to go. I totally believe I will have good score in my test.

Very useful
I have taken the CBT TOEFL a few days ago, and this book was really useful for the Writing Section. When I was preparing for the test, I carefully reviewed each essay example given in this book,and it helped me to become familiar with them in advance.

Hopeless book
This is one of the useless book i have come across...the TSE exam which you will encounter is totally different than what they tell you in the book, furthermore, this book does not have good examples to practice... the authors should understand that TSE is about speaking and not writing or reading so by just reading this book there is no way anyone will understand how to speak in TSE.. I would not recommend this book to anyone

This is a very bad book
I can only assume that the authors are the ones that wrote the other reveiws. Half of the book has pictures for oral exercies, but it has no explaination or examples about how to speak correctly. The other half has exercises without explaination or answers. How can I learn if the book does not provide correct speaking examples. It may work for an instructor, but it is definately not a self study book. It might be an okay book if it contained a CD, but it does not so the book is really useless. I know this is a harsh review, but I don't want anyone else to waste their money.

Great Book
I read the book! What a wonderful tool! Very helpful reccomendations! I am very impressed with exercises! I follow the guidlines of the book and I get 50 out of 60 on my TSE! I get 50 without real studying! I just read the book, complete all exercises while reading it and follow recommendations. If I would study a bit harder I would get 60, but 50 is my score and it is the score to pass....So I stay very pleased with the book. It helps a lot. ... Read more

Good practice, a newer version is available
The ISBN of the new version is 0886852056. You should buy that instead of this package. Same tests as previous edition, different cover!!

Best book ever written for the TOEFL test
This book is definitely the best book for the preparation for the TOEFL test in the market. That's why most (if not all!) the colleges in the US teach from this book in the TOEFL classes. I personally have used this book for preparation for the test. Before reading the tips and doing the sample TOEFL exams in the book, I barely could get more than 200(out of 300) on the sample TOEFL tests, however, after reading this book for only 3 weeks I earned a sweet 274(out of 300) in the TOEFL computer based.
Good Structure and Reading, not so good Listening
This book is good in Structure and Reading. In Listening strategies are well explained, but the tests in CD are not. People speak very clearly, and in real exam they don't. So, practice this part with Powerprep software (downloadlable from toefl.com) and you'll see the difference. However, this book helped me a lot to prepare the exam in 50 hours and got a score of 217/270.

Simply the WORST !!!
Such a waste of money! This book sucks! There are so many mistakes in it that I sometimes think that Deborah Phillips had barely graduated from high school. The strategies given in the book explain only the tip of the iceberg, they are all common sense. They explain only the basics, which are not enough to get a good TOEFL score.
