This was THE difference between my son completely missing Romeo and Juliet and him "getting it".It shows the original text along side the "understandable" version.Extremely helpful.

I was really disappointed by this book.It lacked in explanations and examples.Too short to be benefitual.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great "Review" Book
This book is the 2nd Algebra book that I bought. I am the type of person who goes beyond what is given to me. This book is a great book for review purposes. I am over half way through the year in Algebra 1 and already know how to do everything that will be taught to me by the end of the year. I have really learned a lot from these books and I will say, that this is a great book for anyone that is studying Algebra.

5-0 out of 5 stars It Really Helps!
I have only bought this book for learning and for studying before I am gonna go back to school, but I have learn a lot from it! I really explains clearly enough so you can understand what it is talking about or you can do it after its example. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars You'll get Shakespeare after reading this
My World Literature professor suggested the "Shakespeare Made Easy" series after I told her that I would have difficulty understanding the Bard.I not only (finally!) understood what was happening but, in the future, will buy the other books in the series to do some serious catching up on Shakespeare.
5-0 out of 5 stars Modern MacBeth above the Rest
Very helpful, affordable, and clear. Helped in more ways than I thought.

4-0 out of 5 stars Suits our needs
I won't even attempt to critique Shakespeare's work, as some have done here.I'm not reviewing MacBeth, but this particular version of it.As a homeschooling Mom with three highschool students, the only way we could get through Shakespeare's works is by having a copy of Shakespeare Made Easy on hand.As it is, we completed 5 plays this year - all done orally, with each of us taking several parts. While I think it's important that my kids read Shakespeare in it's original format (and they did), I had the Shakespeare Made Easy translation handy so that I could give simple, concise explanations whenever they just didn't "get it".I recommend these books for that purpose - not for the watered down versions of these classics, but to make them understandable to the average student who might otherwise find Shakespeare's works boring and a waste of time (as many students do). ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Friggin' Incredible.
This book got me through a very grueling high school chem class. It is very easy to understand. I can't put my finger on it, but something about the way this book is written just makes understanding come naturally for me.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great resource!
This book is very helpful for people trying to grasp the basics of chemistry.I'm one who really loves science, but I get a little bogged down in the details and calculations involved, so this book helped me get through the tough math.To me it reads like a textbook, only it cuts out all the filler, so it's very easy to find what I'm looking for, and the descriptions are clean and to the point.

4-0 out of 5 stars great resource for its size
Most A&P textbooks are just too big to be useful for review. This Cliffs Quick Review is great in that they have packed a lot of important information into such a small and readable book. The figures and tables don't compare artistically to those found in the extremely expensive full color glossy pages of the latest textbooks, but they are competitive in terms of being useful and helpful for learning. This book is a very good resource for review. You may need to use other resources if, for example, you want to review more than the very basics of physiology, but for a general review this book does just fine.

5-0 out of 5 stars A&P made easy
I bought this book for my Anatomy & Physiology I and II classes. It was a huge help to me. Topics are made easy to understand, and it is very portable with is smaller size. It is very clear and concise and includes helpful charts and diagrams. So if you are needing a little extra help with these classes, I would recommend this book. It's cheap, not bulky, and makes difficult concepts easy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Full text + helpful information
I have to say that the information given in this book was definitely helpful. I liked how they summarized the following scene at the beginning of the scene and had commentary on the scene at the end. The commentary is definitly helpful, although it could be a little bit more in depth in places. It is particularly helpful how they define terms in the margins that may be unfamiliar to readers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Preparing for the CLEP
Thie book was very helpful with the basics. I just passed the CLEP today and got a 67 (out of 80). You need a 50 to pass for most schools. If you want to pass this CLEP Irecommend purchasing online practice tests. I bought one from the official CLEP webiste. The questions on that practice exam are very close to the ones that you will find on the CLEP exam. Also, I purchased a practice test from petersons.com. These questions were definitely harder, but really get you preapared for the CLEP. Once you take those, the CLEP is a breeze. Good luck!

4-0 out of 5 stars CLEP Preparation
This book has a good overview of the basic concepts of Economics, but little examples of how to apply these terms to the type of exam questions on the CLEP test.It was helpful to me because I had little knowledge of Economics, so I used it to get a basic understanding of the terms. But, I had to seek other sources to learn how to apply them.Using the www.petersons.com, electronic test prep with this book enabled me to pass the test! ... Read more

These are great flashcards unless you actually want to learn and pass your microbiology class. Not only is the content poor, several of the cards in my pack were improperly printed with half the text cut off.No wonder they come sealed in plastic at the bookstore, if I had had the chance to look at them before I bought them i would have known better. They do work well for leveling a wobbly table though.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great for Study Guides
In my English class we were required to read this book. Although I did read the novel we were told to complete a study guide with the novel. We were often asked to describe certain characters and the cliff notes helped a lot. Also if I missed a night of the reading it was simple just to scan the cliff notes and then read the novel in detail later. All in all, this cliff notes book was very helpful, but I do recommend that you read the novel because it is great.

I downloaded this e-doc for my son, but I can't figure out how to give it to him. What is the name of the file, so I can copy it for him, so he can do his homework on his computer?5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent aid for students of all abilities
Not to sound pretentious, but I had no trouble understanding "The Scarlet Letter," but I still found immense value in this companion text from Cliffs. It helped me by confirming what I myself had thought about the book and giving me interesting ideas for the term paper I was writing. Its usefulness comes from the ease of reading and the volume and quality of its contents. Of further value to the student is the rapidity with which the Cliffs Notes are read, making it indispensable for last minute paper-writing!5-0 out of 5 stars Very Useful

5-0 out of 5 stars most definitely best for ap euro
This book by far was supremely more informative than either princeton review or REA. REA is simply practice tests, and even useless at that. Cliff notes is awesome and effective in that if often bulletpoints important details instead of a mindless paragraph format. Also, the compare and contrast of important aspects of history allow for indepth preparation for FRQs. Also, the timelines after each section allows the reader to organize important events in chronological order. RECOMMENDED!

5-0 out of 5 stars A wonderfully organised study guide
This book is very easy to understand as well as being a great study guide. The fourteen chapters are set up with all terms defined, and although the review questions for each section were a little too easy, the practice tests appeared (as far as I can remember) similar to the test.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Tragedy of the Tragically Unaesthetically Pleasing Review
"The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" by William Shakespeare proves to be an amazing read if one thoroughly enjoys the challenge of deciphering the selective form of writing and occasionally complicated dialect. This classic play is based on the true, factual account of the assassination of Julius Caesar as it truly took place in 44 B.C. Of course, Shakespeare has completely made the story his own through the use of comic relief, characterization, and wonderful original composition. Julius Caesar, the ambitious and prideful dictator of Rome, has returned home from a victorious battle against his fellow Triumvirate, Pompey. As he celebrates and relishes his absolute power, little does he suspect the growing opposition of conspirators, some of whom he would never expect. This read is certainly worthwhile if one has a good taste for tragedy and does not mind a challenge.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great edition of a great play
I really enjoyed reading this edition of the play. Each scene is proceded by a summary of the secene and followed by commentary on the scene, and there are notes alongside the text explaining unusual words/phrases. As an actor, I have been reading Shakespeare for quite awhile, and I still found this book very helpful. If you are new to reading Shakespeare, I particularly recommend this because you will find it very helpful.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Shakespeare Classic
Shakespeare wrote Julius Caesar in about 1599. The play was the first of three Roman plays. Shakespeare based the source material for the play on a translation of a work by the Greek philosopher and biographer Plutarch, called "The lives of the Noble Greeks and Romans". Shakespeare, like Plutarch, praises and criticises the actions of the main characters in the assassination of Julius Caesar. However, the historical events in the play are fairly accurate, although the playwright sometimes changed the sequence and timing of events and added his limitless imagination to produce a timeless play that has been enacted and enjoyed by millions of people worldwide over the centuries.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for CLEP
I used this book to study for the American Government CLEP.I easily passed.I support what the other reviewers have said exactly- this book covers almost everything on the exam but a few questions and it does not contain much extra information that you don't need to know.Easy to read.Easy to understand. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Helpful edition; entertaining play.
"Hamlet" was not a Shakespearean play I had plan on reading outside of my Movement in Theatre class and this edition made it one hundred times easier.I had to read the play in a week, so reading the modern English side made that process effortless.I then read over the original Shakespeare version when I had to focus on the character Ophelia.Overall, I found that this play was easier to read in Shakespeare's writing, as opposed to some of his other plays. The play is interesting, but I felt the ending to be boring.I "sorta" recommend.

4-0 out of 5 stars A good reading copy
Once you get used to the layout, this is a good copy to read along with as you listen to the play. Some valuable insights too and not just for students.

3-0 out of 5 stars It was Okay
This book helps to brush up on a few key points, like math and mechanical. It depends on which test you are taking. It dosn't cover much of what is on the ASTB, it offers a little help, but not much.

2-0 out of 5 stars poorly edited
This book has a ton of typographical errors. This book and the Arco book appear to be the only 2 books available as study guides for the AFOQT.After buying and studying from both books, I am not surprised the Air Force recommends studying from other guides like SAT, ACT, GRE, etc.The explanations are poor also.I've been studying from these books and bought other guides and have basically been using the other guides to find explanations for similar questions that I do not understand.

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not rely on this book!
This book is full of typographical errors and wrong equations in the math section.I called Cliffs and reported at least 29 pages with problems on them. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars A sip of Calculus
This book is barely a review, all it does is state the core concepts. You will neither understand nor be able to use much of what you learn to do in this book, except perhaps the limits section. I'd rather use this as a reference guide than as an outline. For a better outline which presents you with a better background before you delve deep into the topic of Calculus and explains topics and gives you an insight on the theorems, get Schaum's outline of Calculus. Otherwise, get this as a last resort.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Supplement to Your Thick Calc Textbook
I would not of survived Calculus I without this handy little book. For a quick review and as a study guide, you cannot beat this little book when compared to your 900 page textbook.

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent quick reference
I bought this slim little book when I was first taking Calculus in High School. It helped me immensely with learning and studying Calculus, and provided a great refresher come test time.Since then, I have sometimes needed a formula, and this manual has again been very useful.Calculus is one of those things you forget if you don't use it, and I was in danger of forgetting it when I took a Physics class which required a basic knowledge of Calculus. Thanks in part to this little book, I was able to brush up on the subject and be prepared for my class, though it has been several years since I first learned Calculus in High School and I have had little occasion to use it since.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not good to study for General Chemistry Praxis test
I was going to use this to study for the General Teacher Praxis tests, but it does not cover the depth needed. The book might be good for someone who has recently taken a chemistry class, to fill in some blanks. But is not a good overall general class prep.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for High School
I am taking Honors Physics in High School and it is a great study tool. It is very helpful for looking up definitions and gives you plenty of practice. If you are taking the class in High School I would deffinetly recommend it to any student.
