Excellent for test style prep
This is an excellent book in teaching you how to take a CAT test.There is no real review of nursing in it except the test itself.I had never done a CAT test before so I found this book helpful in giving me tips for breaking down the questions into what they are really asking

Excellent Supplement to the Official Guide
There isn't much in this book to distinguish it from the verbal portion of The Official Guide for GMAT Review, but that's ok: if there's one thing GMAT students need, it's practice questions that look and feel just like the ones on the test.While the questions in the Quantitative Review book are somewhat easier than in the Official Guide, that isn't the case (to the same degree, anyway) with the verbal, so I can recommend this to just about anybody.
Excellent book
This is an excellent book with the real GMAT questions. It explains all the questions and answers and also explain why a particular answer is correct. Till now, this is the best GMAT practice book I've seen. Anyone preparing for GMAT needs to have this book

The book is great... I gave a bad review b/c of amazons way of charging me 6 dollars to read the book online when I never saw any print about that... I didn't want to pay for that, and there is no way they going to let me get out of paying it.I would recomend this boook to any one intersted in A+ certification, however buy the book from anyone outside of amazon.

Great, but.......
This book is fantastic; however, I got confused about the book page number. The description says it has 944 pages, but it just has 924. And I don't like the last PSAT part. I think this book should only contain SAT practice tests only. And it wastes a lot of marginal room. This edition doesn't changed a little, if any. TOEF iBT: The Official Study Guide
This is a great book. I suggest to anyone preparing to pass TOEFL to buy this book and you will pass the first time.

The book offers the same samples as the iBT internet paid exercises. It's a good material for non native speakers.

The book has been prepared good but the computer's adaptivity is very poor. The CD of the book should be prepared in the context of CDROM. Great for practice tests, but the rest of the stuff is nothing new.
I bought this book along with the ACT for Dummies, and I only use this book for the practice tests. Whether you want to improve your score or just get a feel for the test, this book's 3 practice tests can't be beat. After all, they are the real ACT tests.
An Essential ACT Prep Tool
I purchased this book to prepare for the ACT.It familiarizes you with exactly what you need for the test.It's excellent for long-term preparation, but you can even use it in a crunch.I flipped through some of the pages the night before I took the ACT and had never opened up the book before, read through some things, and I ended up getting a perfect composite score of 36. You don't need any resource other than this one in preparing for the ACT.

Fantastic book - Recommended for anyone serious about good grades
I read this book right after trying to apply IRAC to my first midterm and doing horribly. After reading the first 50 pages I knew exactly what I did wrong and how I could have handled the question differently. I recommend also doing LEEWS as both methods are similar in that they teach you how to answer legal questions from both sides and arrive at a thoughtful response

Excellent book
I bought this book prior to beginning law school on the advice of the summer reading list.Although I haven't gotten through even my first semester, already what I have read has really made things in class seem clearer and I feel much more confident for the exam.I wholly recommend it.

QRI4
I have been using the QRI3 for many years and was very happy that a new version was out with new stories. There are plenty of new stories in this version.It was nice to give a student something they had not memorized or where not familiar with.

Practical & Professional Product
My wife needed an IRI for a recent course. She reported that this book provides different types of readings as opposed to just the story narrative form. The directions for using the IRI were clear and the typeset on the word lists is sharp. She says she is very pleased with this investment and expect to use it in her classroom in the future.

Good Book, Big Inprovement from the 1 edition
Very Good Book. If you didn't know already the CCNA exam is no Joke. You really have to know the concepts and you really need a good book to prepare for it. Cisco is not giving the CCNA Certificate away anymore. They really want you to learn and earn it. I purchase this because I felt the sybex CCNA didn't cover the exam in full detail (Especially the NAT section). This Book is Well Written. Good Additional Book for Math Problems
I bought this book with the understanding that it was not a study guide.This book should be only used as an additional aid for the math section of the GMAT.This book has really great sample questions that are very similar to the questions that you will see when you take the GMAT.This booked coupled with a GMAT Review study guide, such as the books offered by the Princeton Review makes an awesome combo.

Very good if you need to review your math
This book is very good if you only need to review the math part for the GMAT.I would recommend for a few more dollars to get the bigger book that covers all sections.It has the same amount of math questions as the Analytical one has.

Nothing's better than test-like practice
This book is slimmer than the orange Official Guide, weighing in at about 300 problems, but if you need more math practice, it's a great resource. One caveat: the average difficulty level of questions in this book is somewhat lower than that of the questions in the Official Guide. If you're already getting a 650 or better on practice tests, or if you are comfortable with the vast majority of math problems in the Official Guide, go ahead and skip this one. If you're not yet at that level, this is an excellent supplement to the orange book.

Elementary Education: Content Knowledge Study Guide

If you are like me and you dread standardized tests get this book!The sample questions made a huge difference in how I prepared for the test and how relaxed I felt taking the test.I read this study guide two months before the exam and then reviewed the guide the week before.I passed the exam with flying colors and am now certified to teach!

Good price for the product.
I still have to read the bulk of the book, but I do plan on using it as the primary source to prepare me for the upcoming praxis.It looks as if I may have to use other books for information as well as information researched online.The Xam books are really good as well, but cost twice as much.A good investment along with the Praxis study guides. ... I only spent time with the math section
I took the GRE for the second time three weeks ago and did better than I expected. When I took the test before (2001), I had used the Princeton Review material (Cracking the GRE), and it definitely gave me excellent pointers on approaching the questions, guessing effectively, and managing my time. As a result, I got a 660 on the math last time -- pretty good. But I felt that the actual math instruction in PR was a little skimpy, and I got Kaplan's GRE/GMAT Math Review and this Barron's book (the 2006 edition).
Good refresher
This book definately serves its purpose.If you need a good review on math and vocab this book can help.Also the tips on answering questions are extremely useful.I wouldn't use this as my only tool before taking the GRE but it is a huge help.

Too many errors, poor format, index lacking
I am studying for the PMP and have NOT sat for the test yet. I read this book (cover to cover), read the PMBOK-2005, and another book called 'PMP in Depth' (P. Sanghera).
Best Reading to Pass PMP Exam
I bought and borrowed many books to study for the PMP exam and this was the BEST book, both in the material it covered and the way in which the material was presented. It is one of the few that take your through the project management process as you would really experience it, from project inception to closeout. Most other books geared toward the PMP exam organize the material based on the PMI knowledge areas, which have so much overlap it becomes confusing. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. Very difficult questions
Passages are easier to read than Princeton Review and AAMC tests.The wording of the questions is not as convoluted as the AAMC tests.However, the questions are very difficult to answer.Often times there is not enough information in the passage to correctly answer the questions, and it seems like there could be information to support more than one answer choice.While it's true that questions on AAMC practice MCATs 7,8,9 have many attractive 'trap' answer choices, this book takes that to the extreme.Therefore, I don't know if this is an accurate representation of the verbal section.

Decent Practice, but Far from Perfect
Given the usually high profiled stuff from ExamKrackers, this book was for me a disappointment. Let me just say that if you want to score high on verbal, more practice is a must, therefore it's logical to get this book. However, if you are looking for a very clean practice, this book doesn't deliver. While i recognize that verbal section on the MCAT can easily allude to personal bias and subjective opinions, on the actual MCAT the 'correct' answer should be easily justified from the 'inccorect' answers. Around a little over 2/3 of the questions in this book fit that description, everything else is full of ambiguous and unsupported answers, many passages tho interesting are abstract and difficult to read. This can get extremely frustrating if you are expecting to see concrete improvements. However, by dealing with these flaws, and sometimes overly difficult (downright impossible or simply incorrect) questions, you might still gain something that will give u an extra edge on the actual MCAT, which could be sufficently more clear and precise given that it is the verbal section.

Verbal Reasoning is not easy, GET THIS!!
As hard as you'll work on preparation for this exam- your preparation for the Verbal Reasoning section will be the most important. Most people complain about this section. I was included, until I took studying for it head on. I needed all the practice I could get and this book gave me 2 passages a day for 50 days. I timed myself (18 min total, 9 minutes a passage for the two) and corrected it that day. It increased my speed and ability. The guys that write these Exam Krackers books only want you to do well. Software does not record answers!
When taking the practice tests, you cannot save your speaking test answers. So, you're just talking into the air... Also, you can save the writing section only in the practice mode. In the test mode, your essay simply disappears....The Longman has a much better CD-ROM.

Excelent Book
I tried 3 books for TOEFL IBT; this one was the best of all, it have 7 complete tests, and 10 Audio CDs with a good price. and also a section for teaching the technics. I thing it is almost perfect. and it delivered much faster that exepted. Have fun with TOEFL. Good luck for all.

Law Enforcement Exam
I ordered this book to brush up on some basic math that I haven't used in many years. I got it in order to do better on my law enforcement exam. This book covered everything that I needed. It was just right! It walks through the basics and works one up to more complex problems. It includes clear explanations on how to solve the problem and then provides a practice test for each area covered. It even offers some tricks to keep in mind when encountering certain problems. Perfect for a refresher!

Very Low level book
I bought this with hope to get my brain used to solving complicated problems quickly. However, the quality of excercises in this book is very very low. I could have made up any of the excercises in the book. Unsatisfied, I returned it in 2 days. Do not buy it if you are very good or even avarage at math. This will not help you.

A Great Perspective
I first bought this book 1.5 years ago when I was researching colleges for my oldest son.It changed the way I looked at selecting colleges from my prior misconceptions that "bigger is better" (like large state schools) and "it has to have a well-known name to be any good."Pope succeeded in convincing me that not only are there invaluable advantages to smaller-size schools but that there is definitely something to be said for "liberal arts & science" institutions that offer a well-rounded curriculum.I was able to relax then because my son had no idea what he wanted to pursue.As a result of reading the book, my son is now attending Cornell College in Iowa where he is getting a wonderful education in small classes with caring instructors and an administration that "took me by the hand," upon his initial arrival as a freshman, & addressed all my fears and concerns about leaving my son with a bunch of strangers 4 hours away.Because the book includes little quantitative information (%'s of in- vs out-of-staters, tuition costs, % of students who graduate/return sophomore year/go to graduate school, etc.) you will need to supplement this book with another, such as the Fiske guide, to give you a basis of comparison across schools.Even if you don't select any of the schools mentioned, it is worth a read if for nothing else other than a refreshing perspective.

Wish I had known that the book focused on schools on the east coast, in the midwest, and in the southeast.No California schools are listed.

Lots of information to consider and is thought provoking
I have a daughter ready to apply to colleges this fall and have found this book very helpful in planning and sorting through the myriad of information out there.
